Paul Eats Lunch

Paul has been loving being able to feed himself. He eats his breakfast by himself as well as sandwiches. Here are some pictures of him after he finished his peanut butter sandwich.

Hi, Everyone!

Just wanted you to know that I have not forgotten to update the blog. We have all been very busy and I don't have the computer (with all the pictures on it) at the house during the day. So I have to post during the night. We are all doing alright. Peter has been teething the past couple of weeks. Please pray that the teeth would come in and that we would be able to keep our sanity :)!!! The shop is doing well and we are still learning many different things about each cell phone. The cool thing about owning one of these stores is that you can try out each of the different cell phones. Joshua is experimenting with different ones so he knows how they are put together. Please pray for Marlene and William's relationship and also for us not to become overwhelmed with everything that is happening. Our trainer is leaving next week, after being here for a month, and we feel like there is still so much that we still need to know. Also pray for my mom as she is tiring out from putting so many hours in at the shop. She is there before opening and usually a few hours after. We appreciate your prayers. We love and are praying for all of you. God Bless you all. More pictures to follow soon.

The Boys

This weekend was Parent Appreciation Weekend at the Air Force Academy. At church today we had alot of families and their sons come to our church. Some were dressed in their uniforms and some were in regular everyday clothes. It was very neat to see some of the guys that are attending there. Here are some pictures of the boys wearing the hats that the guys wear with their uniforms. I thought that they looked so cute wearing them.

Our New Church

We have really enjoyed our new church. The people are very friendly and we have enjoyed building relationships with them. The pastor is very friendly and we feel that he has a heart for the Lord. We also feel that he preaches the Word and everything he talks about is biblically based. I wish you all could see Paul. He is having so much fun with kids his own age. The first time that we walked into the church he was like a magnet to all the kids. He could not believe all the kids there, he has never seen that many in his life! Paul loved being in the nursery and did well interacting with the kids. It was almost like he did not need me when he was around the other kids (of course we know that that is not true). It was cute to see him play, run, and even scream with all the others. By the time we arrived home, he was ready for his nap. Here are some pictures of the pastor and his family, the church building, and Paul playing with the other kids.

This is a picture of Pastor Parker and his family: Pastor Jason Parker, Monica (his wife), Kristen, Constance, Katie, Forrest, Lydia, and Miles.

This is the link to the church website that you can go and see. The name of the church is High Country Baptist. http://www.highcountrybaptist.org/. The church is currently meeting at a Charter School. The building is kept up nice and we meet in a big room, then slit off into some of the class rooms that they have there. They have the service in the morning, then they have what is called a seminar (its like a Sunday school class). We all come back at night for prayer time and fellowship. We all bring something to eat and fellowship after. We have had alot of fun getting to know everyone. On Wednesday, we go back to church for a prayer meeting. So we are very busy and enjoying every minute with the church.

Update On The Shop

God has been very good to us even though we have had some mishaps. We have been able to fix most of the phones that have come to the shop. This has been very exciting for Joshua and my dad. The mishaps that have happened are that we did not have everything that we needed in the shop when we opened it. The things that we did order were either slow in being shipped or were sent to the wrong address and then shipped back to where it came from. This has been very frustrating to us. We have had to turn away alot of people because we did not have the part to fix their phone or we did not have any phones to sell them. Please continue to pray for us as we are establishing this business and that we would be able to support ourselves. We want God's will done for our lives as well as the shop.

God Bless Our Troops

We have some close friends of the family, The Frymires, whose son is in the Air Force Academy here in Colorado Springs. The family is coming up to visit their son, Daniel, at the Academy. The Academy is having a parent's appreciation week. We are looking forward to spending some time with them as they are going to be staying with us as we stay at our friends house. I hope that you would keep this family and others around the world who are or have someone fighting for our country in prayer. God bless America. Here is a picture of Daniel Frymire.

My Son's Blankets

I am happy to say that I have completed my son's blankets. I started to crotchet them in July and finished last night. Peter's blanket is the solid camo and Paul is the striped camo. I can't wait to see them use them, but that will have to wait until Christmas.
