Backyard Fun

We try to let the kids go out as much as possible before the weather changes and also for the exercise. The kids sure do like going outside to play (as you can tell by the pictures I posted). Stella is at such a fun age and I love to take pictures of her, when she lets me and does not move towards the camera. Here are some cute pictures of Stella.

Joshua and I are thinking about having Paul start taking some sport classes. Right now we are working with him by ourselves. While we were outside, Joshua tossed the ball to Paul and had him practice hitting. Peter thought it looked like so much fun that he wanted to play. They both had a great time.

The Boy's First Camping Trip

The other weekend some friends of ours were going camping and my parents, sister, and the boys went up to check out the site. We are interested in finding different places that we can take the boys up to for day trips and eventually overnight. Joshua, Stella, and I stayed home and did some things around the house in preparation for the new baby. The boys were really excited about being able to go, even though they did not totally get the concept of camping. My parents said that they were not too sure about the whole camping thing, but soon they were playing around and having fun. It was overcast and the sun would peek out every once in awhile, but that did not stop my boys from playing in the water in a stream nearby. I think that they have inherited my mom's love of water. They roasted hot dogs over the camp fire and even had smores. The boys were very tired and dirty!!! My parents left around 3 or 4 in the afternoon because we had church the next day and the boys slept in the car. I am sure that we will be having more day camping trips to come!

Memorial Day Fun

We had a great Memorial Day and the weather was just prefect in the morning. It was warm and the kids (even Stella) was able to play outside. Stella is really starting to enjoy being able to go outside even with the wind blowing. The boys love to play with all their toys and in the dirt. Stella is wanting to walk more and more and she loves being able to hold onto things and walk. It is so cute and she is getting so big!!! My parents stayed home in the morning and were able to play with the kids, which they love because they don't get to see them much. We were going to have some friends over for dinner, so Joshua decided to run some errands for me with the boys so that I could take a nap while Stella slept. Joshua is so good to me, I don't know what I would do without him. We had such a great time with our friends. The only draw back was that the wind kicked up and made it too cold for any of us to go outside and enjoy the backyard and the weather. The kids did make several attempts to go outside and play. We had a great time of fellowship and it was a great relaxing day.

Family Project- Part 3

Joshua came home from California last Sunday, we were so glad to see him home. We missed him alot. The weather started out nice and then during the boys' nap time it clouded over. The plan was for the boys to go outside with Grandpa and Daddy and work more on the jungle gym. It ended up being too cold and the boys had to watch from the inside. Sorry I don't have any picture of them working, I could not go outside and watch all the kids. Lately the weather has been somewhat nice and the boys were able to go outside and play on the jungle gym for the first time (after Joshua came home from work). These are pictures from them playing.

Yard Saleing

My parents love to yard sale and they bring back alot of great things. Every once in awhile they take Paul or both of the boys. They also love to go yard saleing and a chance to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma. Here is Paul with his wallet, ready to go.

Family Project- Part 2

The next day we put in the posts into the holes and filled them with cement. It was such a nice day outside that we all went outside to enjoy it. The boys loved to play with the dirt around the holes; they filled their buckets and used the bulldozer to push the dirt around. They even had fun dropping thing into the holes. We were only able to put the posts in the holes that day as we had to let the cement dry. Paul and Peter had fun carrying the wood into the backyard and getting things for Grandpa. We were even able to eat dinner outside. We had a great day.

Family Project- Part 1

My parents found one plastic climbing wall and two slides at a yard sale. They decided to make a jungle gym for the boys to play on using these things for Peter's birthday. The boys were very excited about this. They love being outside and being able to help with different projects.First we had to pick out the best place to put it and then figure out how big to make it.
Stella is enjoying being able to go outside and watch what it happening all around her.

The boys loved helping in the dirt and enjoyed being with the family.

Family Fun Day

We decided to go to Mr. Biggs on Joshua's day off. The kids really like to play in Little BigTown and since Stella is able to crawl, we thought that it would be a great place to spend time as a family. The boys had so much fun and were constantly running around to the different rooms filled with different activities. Stella did enjoy crawling around and the undivided attention from mom and dad as her brothers were busy playing. We had a wonderful time as a family and have some great pictures.
