Family Project- Part 4

Just before Peter's birthday in April, we finished up the jungle gym for the boys. Joshua was in California during this time, visiting his family as his brother passed away. The boys have loved working on this project with Grandpa and they especially loved being able to climb up and go down the slides. It was a nice day except for the wind. The jungle gym turned out so great and I am sure that the kids will have alot of fun going down the slides and playing with all their toys under the platform.

Signs That Spring Is Coming- Part 2

Paul has been noticing that the weather is warmer and he has been asking to go outside everyday. Here he has the shoes out so that we all can go outside when mommy is ready.










Stella enjoyed being outside although she was not too sure about the grass. She really enjoyed watching the boys running around outside. The boys were hard at work as well, playing in the dirt and running around the yard. They also had fun decorating their "Christmas Tree" (an old tree stump that we took out of our yard). We are so loving this warm weather.

Motorcycles

Paul had fun playing outside the other day with the scooters and tricycles (he calls them motorcycles). It was a nice hot day and I was glad to be able to get the kids out and some energy out of them. Peter started to pull out some wood and Paul did the same. Then Paul did something that amazed me. He put the pieces of wood father apart and pretended that his motorcycle was jumping over the pieces of wood. It still amazes me how much kids learn and figure out even when you don't show them how. Paul also got some smaller pieces of blocks of wood and put them under some other boards and made little ramps to jump off of. Here are some pictures and movies of both Paul and Peter.

Wild Flowers

These are some wild flowers that grow in our back yard. They are so beautiful to look at and I love that they come back every Spring after our cold winter.

Snow Storms

The other day we were hit by a pretty big snow storm, about 2 inches. We were all thinking that we were done with snow for the winter, but we ended up getting snow again. The nice thing was that it was a wet snow and when it was done and melting the snow watered the grass and made everything so green and pretty. We have been getting little snow storms since, but the good thing is is that it will soon be gone for good.

The weather has been warming up and spring is on its way. We are hoping that the snow will go away for the time being. The boys love to go outside and play and I am happy to let them knowing that they will be tired out from all the exercise. Here is a cute movie and picture of the boys at play.
