Violin Players

To say that the boys love it and get excited about Joshua pulling out the violins, is an understatment. They become so excited and run over to where Joshua is. Poor Joshua, he hardly gets to play until they have their fill of the violin. He is such a good sport. Here are some pictures of the boys and Joshua.I love these pictures of Paul standing in front of Joshua. Joshua is having Paul hold the violin under his chin, it doesn't seem to be bothering him. Silly boy, so excited.I also love these pictures of Paul facing Joshua. Don't they look like they are playing together? I hope that they continue in their interest in the violin.Isn't this cute of Peter? I don't think that anyone showed him how, he just picked it up himself. Two future violin players!!!!

Joshua Plays His Violin

I have been wanting to take some pictures of Joshua playing his violin, but have never had the time. Now I not only got some pictures, but he is playing in our backyard near our aspen trees. I think that the pictures turned out great. You are all in for a treat. I was able to talk, even though it does not take much, Joshua into playing his violin while I record him. He is such a ham and he plays beatifully. Here he is playing his violin.

Touch Of The Master's Hand

Hi everyone. I put a new back ground on my blog called "Touch Of The Master's Hand." I was so excited to find it. Joshua and I love that story and Joshua also plays the violin. I found that and other cute backgrounds at onecuteblog.blogspot.com. You should see them. They are beautiful.
If you don't know the story based on the poem of the "Touch Of The Master's Hand, then you should clink on this link and watch this movie. Here is also the original poem:

The Touch of the Master's Hand

It was battered and scarred,
And the auctioneer thought it
Hardly worth his while
To waste his time on the old violin,
But he held it up with a smile.
"What am I bid, good people", he cried,
"Who starts the bidding for me?"
"One dollar, one dollar, Do I hear two?"
"Two dollars, who makes it three?"
"Three dollars once, three dollars twice, going for three",
But, No,
From the room far back a grey haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow,
Then wiping the dust from the old violin
And tightening up the strings,
He played a melody, pure and sweet,
As sweet as the angel sings.

The music ceased and the auctioneer
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said "What now am I bid for this old violin?"
As he held it aloft with its' bow.
"One thousand, one thousand, Do I hear two?"
"Two thousand, Who makes it three?"
"Three thousand once, three thousand twice,
Going and gone", said he.

The audience cheered,
But some of them cried,
"We just don't understand."
"What changed its' worth?"
Swift came the reply.
"The Touch of the Masters Hand."

And many a man with life out of tune,
All battered with bourbon and gin,
Is auctioned cheap to a thoughtless crowd
Much like that old violin.
A mess of pottage, a glass of wine,
A game and he travels on.
He is going once, he is going twice,
He is going and almost gone.
But the Master comes,
And the foolish crowd never can quite understand,
The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought
By the Touch of the Master's Hand.

The Future Violinist!!!

Paul loves playing the violin. As soon as he hears Joshua take out his violin, Paul runs over to him and begs to play. Paul becomes all excited when he listens to his daddy play. It is so cute to see him play and hopefully that will continue to grow as he becomes older. I hope you enjoy this movie and picture.
