Fun With Grandpa Bill

We had a great time with Grandpa Bill being here. The boys really enjoyed him and were sorry to see him go. Joshua and the boys took Grandpa Bill to one of their favorite spots, the airport.
They also took him to the top of Pikes Peak, an elevation of 14,110 feet!!! They enjoyed themselves, but they sure did not feel good after going up there.
They also took him to Focus On The Family.
They all had fun playing at the park.
And we got some great family pictures.
We had a great time with Grandpa Bill and hope that he comes back soon!

Snow Storm

We have been getting different snow storms coming through. Although we have not had many inches of snow. Here is what the yard looked like when I woke up on Thursday.

Snow!!!!

Sweater, hats, scarves, and long-sleeve shirts all have to do with winter and snow. We have been getting snow for the past few day (although none of it has stuck). It has been very exciting to get some cooler weather and pull out all the sweaters and long-sleeve shirts. Boy, have I had fun dressing the boys. I am hoping that this year they will like the snow and want to play in it. Yeah, snow has come!!!

Welcome Fall

As many of you know from my last post, we are having some very unusual weather. We have been having cold temperates in the 40's and 30's and even some snow. It has been very windy here as well. We don't usually get snow until around Halloween, so this is very unusual. I have to say that I am loving this weather very much. Here are some pictures to celebrate fall coming.

Fox In Our Backyard

We woke up one morning and looked out the window to see a fox in our yard eating the bird seed from under one of our bird feeder. He must have been pretty hungry. We see them every once in awhile. Here are some pictures and a movie of the fox.

Hail Storm

The other day we were suppose to have a severe thunder storm. It did rain and thunder, but we also got hail. I ran outside to take some pictures because I wanted you all to see how big the balls were. I can't believe how big they can get.

How To Tell If Its Cold Outside

In my family we don't need thermometers to tell us whether it is cold outside or not. We just go by our family:

If my mom, Joshua, and I were a jacket, its cold outside.
If my sister wears a jacket, its very cold outside.
If my dad wears a jacket, its extremely cold outside.

My dad has worn a jacket a few times since we have been here (mostly at night or in the early morning). It has gotten cold here (with fog and everything), but the next day or two it has warmed up. It is very nice to look forward to having some semi-warm again.

Brr....Its Cold!

We have been experiencing some WAY cooler weather than what we are use to. It has been in the 40's during the day and freezing and below during the night. I don't like to go out more than I have to. We are also expecting some snow. It has not happened yet, but we are still excited by the thought. You can tell that a storm is coming in because of the clouds around the mountains. It is pretty amazing to see. I took some different pictures of the mountains during the day. I had to run outside to take them and then run back inside. I hope you enjoy them. These two pictures were taken first thing this morning. These were taken around the afternoon. These were taken at night, before it got dark.
