I have been busy getting ready for the new baby and the boys have been getting in on it too. My mom and I started to look through all the girl clothes that we had and the boys loved to try on the hats and look at the clothes. Then we brought over a dresser that we will be using as a changing table and to store clothes. Paul saw the clothes in the bassinet and he started to put the clothes in the drawers. It was so cute to see them excited about the new baby and being able to help out.

Baby Names
I just realized that I had not done a post about what we will be naming our new bundle of joy. As you know, we are big on family names, so this little one had to have a family name.
If the baby is a girl, her name will be Stella (after my great-grandmother) Ann (short for Anna, which is Joshua's mom's middle name). If the baby is a boy, his name will be Phillip (after my great-grandpa and from the Bible) also because we wanted to have another P name. His middle name will be Lawrence, which is Joshua's dad's middle name.
So it looks like we will be having a little Stella Ann. It has been so much fun preparing for her. I have been enjoying looking at all the girl clothes at the store. My mom is going to start finding girl clothes at yard sales for me so that I can stock up. This is certainly going to be a totally different experience from my boys.

Cold Weather
We have been hit by some cold weather, reminding me that winter is not over yet. The past snow storm that we had has left us with lots of snow in our backyard. While the sun is out and the weather has warmed up a bit to melt the snow, the freezing low temperatures of night have caused alot of the snow to harden again. I looked out the kitchen window the other day and saw this:
I have been seeing alot of water dripping onto the window and I was amazed to find this was the cause. We have alot of frozen water around the house as some came down off the roof and scared me. We are suppose to get another snow storm this weekend.

Shoveling Snow
Grandpa loves to take the boys out and have them help shovel snow. Its also good for mommy because then she can get some things done :). Then grandpa likes to put out the sleds and take them sledding in the street. They are growing up so fast, too soon they will be out there shoveling snow by themselves and playing in it.
Here are some pictures of the birds outside one of our windows. I thought that the bird looked really cute eating with the snow in the background.

Funny Sayings
As many of you know I love doing crafts, and my favorite store is Michaels. I love going to Michaels whenever I can. They were having a sale after valentine's day and I was going to go and use a coupon I had to pick up some stuff for next year and some things for Peter's birthday party. I had planned on going with Joshua to Walmart and then taking the boys myself to Michaels.
Me: Come on lets get ready to go on some errands. Mommy needs to go to Walmart and Michaels to pick up some things.
Paul: I like Michaels. (remembering all the craft stuff that we have gotten from Michaels for him and Peter to do). I want to go to Michaels instead of Walmart.
Me: Well, I need to go both places and Daddy is going to be going one of the places with us.
Paul: I like Michaels. I want to go to Michaels.
I laughed when I heard him saying this. I guess it runs in the family. When he gets older, I will probably be running to Michaels alot more. Paul loves to do crafts.

Valentine's Day and An Update
Our Valentine's day was nice and somewhat relaxing, which is nice when you have had a busy weekend. We went to church and ended up coming home before the Sunday school class began. The boys were fussy and I started not to feel good. I ended up taking a nap while Joshua listened for the boys. My mom and sister went to Walmart to see if they had there Valentine's day stuff on sale (its a cheaper way to shop for next year :)). I stayed home with Joshua and the boys, I don't think that I was getting sick- sometimes I get really tired from going and going and just need to rest. We did not do much other than watch the boys and play with them the rest of the night, but it was relaxing.
Updates:
Paul and Peter: they survived the stomach flue and hopefully will not have to go through that again. Both boys continue to be active and keep mommy busy. They have a fondness for going outside even when there is snow on the ground and playing until the get cold. Peter is saying more and more words and making the sounds of words. Its cute because he is starting to call Paul by his name.
Joshua and Amy: We have been busy enjoying our boys. Joshua is busy helping with improvements around the house (such as painting the baby's room, putting up ceiling fans, fixing the bathroom) and at the shop. We enjoy taking the boys to different places on his day off. I am busy with the boys, taking care of me and the baby, getting ready for the baby, and trying to finish some craft things before the baby comes. The baby is starting to kick which is always exciting and we are 90% sure that it is a girl, we are not going to have another ultrasound done. So we are planning as if we are going to have a girl, not really that it matters since we already have all the boys clothes that we need. Joshua and I are going to be going away for an early anniversary trip at the end of March to Indiana to visit some relatives and he will be going into Chicago to visit another violin maker and another cell phone shop. We are very excited about the trip and getting away together for the last time for awhile.
Bob and Marie: love being grandparents and spending time with the boys. On Fridays they have the day off and often will do something around the house and have the boys help. They also love to show the boys new things, such as going to Chuck E. Cheese and other fun places. Bob and Maire continue to be very busy at the shop as the business requires alot of attention. They are enjoying being able to let the techs run the shop on certain days giving them a much needed break. They love to play games, go yard saleing, and spending time with the boys when they come home at night.
Marlene: continues to be busy with the shop and boys. She is a big help to me in helping me take care of the boys. I don't think that I would get that much done without her being there to help take care of them. She also cleans the house and cooks all the meals, which again saves me time. Marlene loves to go to the shop and eat lunch with my mom and help out until the boys get up from their nap. She is still hearing from William everyday. The fiancee visa did not go through and she and William are deciding on what to do next. Please pray for her as she decided what God's will is concerning her and William.

Family Togetherness
The next day the boys helped Joshua make me breakfast, no it was not breakfast in bed. They did a great job and had alot of fun doing it.
Then we all got ready to go to Lowe's for their build and grow workshop so that the boys could make jewelry organizers for valentine's day. Joshua helped them put it together while I took the pictures. The boys loved holding the hammers and helping put it together. They loved hammering after the project was done.
Home Depot was having a sale on primer and we went and got paint to paint my sister's old room for the new baby. We are so excited. As soon as it is painted we will post pictures. We are going to use the room as a nursery/guest room, since the baby will be staying in our room for awhile. Soon after we went home and rested for awhile, then we got ready for a Valentine tea party that we were having with the family and a single girl from our church. We had a great time fellowshiping and making candy. It was so much fun spending time as a family and doing crafts over the holidays.

Chuck E. Cheese
Our Valentine's weekend started with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese on Friday. My parents were taking the boys for the first time and they were excited. Joshua was able to come down and meet us there from work. The boys were not totally sure at first, but then they loved the rides, especially the slow ones. We had a great time watching the boys and getting pictures to keep as memories. The boys loved the car and tractor rides the best. What a great way to start the weekend!
