Peter Dedication

"As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord."
-Luke 2:23

On Sunday we had Peter dedicated. After the service, Pastor Parker called us up and talked about what dedication was and how we as parents wanted to dedicate Peter. Then Joshua talked alittle and two men from the church prayed over our family. That was about it, but we were glad to be able to do it. We believe that this is very important. Not only does it hold us accountable to others in the church, but it helps us keep in focus of what God calls us to do as parents. We are very grateful for God giving us the privilege of being the parents of Paul and Peter. Our hope and goal is for them to see their need for God as their personal Savior and then follow Him with their whole heart. We can't wait to see what God is going to be doing in their lives.

  1. Only Peter being dedicated? What about Paul?
That tradition goes back to the days when they offered up their sons to the temple, like Jesus. With names like Peter and Paul I'm sure they're destined for great things.

Logan? He'll be a warrior, or in modern terms, a police officer.
As a matter of fact where he works (Coffee Depot) they call on him when there is someone that may cause trouble. He's becoming almost the bouncer there also. I think he's practicing to be in law enforcement.

Last Sunday after Mass I went to my first Holy Name Society meeting there in the hall. We talked about fund raisers, etc. But mostly we talked about how Obama is trying to cut funding for buildings (like in schools) that provide prayer groups and such. He's also trying to push the bill for abortion rights (FOCA). Has your church gotten petitions started to send to your Congressmen? Everything that is immoral Obama is backing it up.
Strange how this country is filled with billions of religious people, and we have to get signatures and spend money to try to get prayer IN schools but it took only one rich athiest to promote getting it out.

Keep the pics coming, I really enjoy them.

    talk soon
