Bible Songs

My mom has been encouraging me to buy some Bible Songs on c.d.s for the boys to listen to. So on one of our outings (Joshua's day off)I bought some c.d.s at Focus On The Family. The boys love listening to them. I remember alot of the songs as ones that I use to sing when I was younger. Its really cute too because the boys love to babble sing with the music. A new thing that they are beginning to do it to take books over to where the c.d. player is and pretend that they are singing out of the books, just like what we do at church. Paul will even call out a number and sometimes say a prayer. Its so cute. I took these movies of them, I know that they aren't that good. I hope to get more movies of them while they do this. I hope you enjoy these.

Fun In The Snow

I have been wanting to take the boys outside after it snows and take some pictures of them, but it never worked out like I wanted it to. Something always came up. So after this big snow storm that we had (it lasted 3 days), my parents took the boys out and let them play in the snow. Last year the boys were not interested in the snow at all, but this year both of them enjoyed being in the snow. My parents pulled them around on sleds and threw snow at each other. The boys had a great time. I am glad because it will give me an excuse to get out more this winter. Enjoy these cute pictures.

Carving Pumpkins

We also spent time carving pumpkins with the boys. We waited until everyone was home from work and then we got out the pumpkins and carved them. This has been a family tradition for a long time. Joshua carved one of the pumpkins for him and I. He even carved our family intials. Then we decided to try something different this year. Because of the colder weather, many people do not carve their pumpkins. They let their kids color and even put stickers on their pumpkins. So we decided to do that. The boys had so much fun coloring and putting stickers on their pumpkin. It sure did turn out cute! I love every holiday this year because the boys are finally old enough to help and celebrate the holidays. Paul and Peter were both so cute when they touched the pumpkins insides. They both did not seem to mind it. Here are some cute pictures and movies for you to enjoy.

Harvest Festival

At our local library, they had a Harvest Festival. Joshua went into work part day and then took the boys and I after the boys naps. We had alot of fun. There was a big tractor that the boys loved to look at. Joshua took Peter up to sit on it, but Paul did not want to. So I only took a picture of Joshua and Peter on the tractor. Then we went inside and they had a craft where kids could decorate a leaf. The boys were alittle too young for that. They also had some sancks and hot drinks there. The Library made it very nice. We looked at the books and then adventured outside. There were pumpkins lining one of the fences and a lady came up to us and asked if we wanted a pumpkin to carve. We said we would, and Joshua helped the kids carve it. The boys had fun with the pumpkin peices. We took our pummpkin home soon after that. We had a wonderful time with the boys.

Gone Fishing

Last Saturday, my dad and Joshua took Paul fishing for the first time. Peter stayed home with me, so Paul had their undivided attention. It was alittle bit of a drive, but Paul was in a great mood, which made the trip easier. When they arrived, one of the instructors gave a small talk about what lives in the pond before people began to fish. Joshua and my dad did most of the fishing. Paul was interested alittle, but you know how kids get distracted easily. Paul had a great time though. He loved walking around and being with daddy and granpa. Here are some pictures and movies that Joshua took for me.

Update On Us

Hi everyone,

Its been awhile since I last updated you on all that is going on. We have been having some cooler weather. I love the fall weather and watching the leaves fall from the trees. Yesterday it snowed ALL day. It was very exciting and I love to watch the snow fall.

Paul and Peter have been keeping mommy very busy. They have been all over the place. It is hard keeping them inside while it is snowing. I usually try to take them to an indoor playground that they have inside one of the malls. That helps alot. Peter is talking more and more and loves to do whatever Paul does. Paul is talking and making more sentences all the time. One of the new things is that we bought some Christian Bible songs for the boys. They love to listen to it and sing along. They even grab books and act like they are reading/singing out of them, just like we do at church.

If you have not heard the big new yet, click here. The biggest news yet is that Joshua and I are expecting our third child. This new little one is due on June 5, 2010. We are so excited although we are going to be extremely busy. Paul will be 3 and Peter alittle over 2. Please pray for us as we prepare for this little one and as we raise our children. The funny thing is is that we just found out that we have no maternity coverage unless something goes wrong, but we can afford a midwife (which is the route that we are going to take). So different from California where we have medical insurance, but could not afford a midwife. Otherwise we are both doing well.

My sister, Marlene is doing well. She has been a good help to me, especially since I am experiencing some morning sickness, not as bad as it has been with Paul. She also has been busy with working at the shop. Marlene drives down and brings dinner to the shop. Then she stays and helps out. Please continue to pray for her and William. To see her blog, click here.

My mom and dad are busy with the shop. My mom and dad have been very helpful with the boys. They love to spend time with both of them and do different things. One of their days off, they took the boys to play and out to lunch. The boys had fun and mommy got a nice break. My mom is still in pain from her neck, so please pray for her. Please also pray that we can get a settlement on the accident, its been over 3 years.

Well, that's it. We hope that you are all doing well. We also pray that God would bless each and every one of you. We miss you all and care for you alot.

More Leaves

Yesterday my mom took the boys outside because they were restless from being inside from being sick. She and the boys had alot of fun playing in the leaves. This is not even half of the leaves that will be in our yard by the time that the tress lose all their leaves! This is the most fun that I had with leaves in a long time. My mom and the boys liked to rake them in a pile and cover each other with leaves. I got some great pictures and movies. Enjoy!

Focus On The Family

This last Wednesday that Joshua had off, we decided to do something different. Since the weather has been alot colder and the boys are fighting colds, we decided to do something indoor. We decided to go to Focus On The Family. I did not realize how close it was to our house, it feels like its right in our backyard. Focus has a welcome center and a bookstore, as well as an area for kids to play in called Whit's End from the Adventures in Odyssey radio series. Its a pretty cool place. It has an airplane that the kids can go through and a play area as well as a big slide for the bigger kids. It even has a secret tunnel that leads to another play area where there is a stage, puppet stage, and an reading area. You can even dress like the characters and put on a show!! They also have an area where you can stick your face through and have your picture taken as one of the characters. We spent some time in the bookstore and play area. Then we walked around some more. They had some different rooms for birthday parties and a small area for toddlers to play in. That's where we spent the rest of our time. Then we decided to go home and put the boys down for their nap. We had a great day. Here is the website for the welcome center. If you ever go to Colorado, you should visit Focus On The Family (besides seeing us of course!!!:)).

Violin Players

To say that the boys love it and get excited about Joshua pulling out the violins, is an understatment. They become so excited and run over to where Joshua is. Poor Joshua, he hardly gets to play until they have their fill of the violin. He is such a good sport. Here are some pictures of the boys and Joshua.I love these pictures of Paul standing in front of Joshua. Joshua is having Paul hold the violin under his chin, it doesn't seem to be bothering him. Silly boy, so excited.I also love these pictures of Paul facing Joshua. Don't they look like they are playing together? I hope that they continue in their interest in the violin.Isn't this cute of Peter? I don't think that anyone showed him how, he just picked it up himself. Two future violin players!!!!
