Christmas Decorating

The day after Thanksgiving we decorated for Christmas. We were all alittle tired from the day before, but we were all too excited to let that stop us from decorating. The boys had fun looking at all the Christmas decorations as we got out all the boxes and went through what we wanted to put out this year. We knew that we would not be able to put up much with little hands. The weather was nice outside, so the boys got to play outside in the front as we got our boxes down. Then we put them down for a nap and went outside to hang our Christmas lights. There is a cold front coming and snow for Sunday, so we knew that we wanted to try to get it all up before the snow came. As the boys got up, they came outside and they enjoyed playing outside and being part of the process of hanging up lights. They also enjoyed the nativity that we put in our front yard. Peter loved carrying the pieces around the yard. As it started to get cold outside, we took the boys inside while the rest of the family helped clean up outside. The boys love the decorations and they love to sit on the sofa and look at them. When it got dark outside, Joshua and I took the boys out in the front to look at the lights. The boys were so excited about them. We really enjoyed spending time together as a family and decorating for one of our favorite holidays. This year is going to be so much more fun with the boys.

Thanksgiving Day

The whole week started with the boys having a runny nose and alittle bit of a stuffy one. Then Joshua got sick on Wednesday and stayed home two days to rest so that he would be feeling better for Thanksgiving. It was nice to have him home, but it made it alot of work for me. He did feel alot better on Thanksgiving and we had the Bookman's over from our church. We had such a wonderful day. The boys went down for their nap before we ate and it was so nice to be able to eat and not have to worry about what the boys were doing. I have not been able to do that for a long time. After we ate dinner and desert, everyone went to the park to play football. That was the high light of the whole day, to play football. We even had to go out and buy a football. Joshua had a great time, he was sore after. I stayed home because the boys had just gotten up and needed to eat. The boys and I stayed home until everyone else came home. Then everyone visited and played. It was a great time and the boys sure did have fun. The boys were so tired when it was time for bed. We were all tired. We hope that you all had a blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy these pictures and movies. The boys with friends

Peter eating pumpkin pie

Peter loved the pumpkin pie. He does not usually like to eat with his hands. I thought that he was so cute about how he went after it.
I thought this was a cute movie of Paul and his friend. He loves to play with her.

Christmas Time

As the boys have been getting older, I have been able to do more crafts with them. They both have shown an interest in crafts, which I am very excited about. The latest thing that I have done with the boys is to make a Christmas chain to count down the days until Christmas. I remember doing this when I was little and how much fun it was, so I thought that the boys might enjoy it. I can't wait to hang them up and have them pull off a ring for each day leading to Christmas.

Choo Choo

At the mall where we take the boys on the indoor playground, they have a train that they set up for Christmas. Paul really wanted to ride on it, but I did not have any cash on me at the time. This next time that we went, I had some cash on me and Joshua rode with the boys. They loved it! Here are some pictures of them on the train.

Grandpa Bob's Birthday

We had quite a busy day. It started out with us giving my dad his gifts in the morning before my mom and dad went out to breakfast. The boys are starting to get into birthdays and holidays and they love to open, or help open presents. I had gotten small cans of peanuts for the boys to give my dad. They love to eat peanuts with him, so I thought it would make a good present. Then I ran to the store to buy some groceries while Joshua watched the boys. My mom watched the boys so Joshua and I went to our midwife appointment. Everything went fine and we were even able to hear the baby's heartbeat, which is always exciting. Then we rushed home, got the boys up, and started to make dinner so that we could all go to the shop and eat dinner together. It was alittle busy at the shop so we did not all get to eat together, but we still had a great time together. Then we headed home and the boys played until bedtime. This is the only picture that I took of my dad's birthday, but I still think that is a great picture.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Bob!

Today is Grandpa Bob's birthday. We are not planning much since I have an appointment with the midwife and they are working, but we are going to go to the shop and have dinner together. I know that we would not have been able to move if it was not for my dad. My dad is the planner, he wanted us to have a realistic view about the whole thing. He also has done so much of the paper work and getting things rolling at the shop. We are so grateful for all his knowledge and for just being our dad. He loves playing with the boys and eating peanuts with them. We love you, dad and grandpa. Thanks for all your hard work for the family.

Update On Us

Not much happening around here. We got dumped with about 6 to 8 inches of snow, which is still lying on the ground. It sure does make it beautiful to look out the windows. The temperature has been in the 50's, which makes it nice from the summer months. I love wearing long sleeve shirts and pants. Here is what we have been up to.

Paul and Peter: Very active as usual. They have alittle bit of a runny nose, so we have not been able to get out much. It makes them more active when they don't get any exercise. Paul is talking sentences and is a big help in helping me with Peter. He loves to be able to help and I know that he is going to be a big help when the baby comes. Peter is saying some words and he loves music. He loves when I put on a c.d. and he dances around the house. They are growing so big.

Mommy and Daddy: I have been having morning sickness, I am so hoping that it will go away. I have not been able to eat anything because nothing sounds good or I don't feel like eating. Otherwise, besides being tired, I am doing okay. Joshua is doing well. He is able to work in his violin shop, where his heart truly is. It has been nice to have the techs up to speed so that he can work in his shop. Joshua also helps out in the cell phone side of things as well.

Auntie Mar: is busy as usual run here and there and helping wherever she is needed most. She is a big help to me with the boys, especially since I have not been feeling well. Auntie Mar likes to go to the shop and eat lunch with grandma and help at the shop while the boys are sleeping. She also cooks alot of the dinners here and runs errands.

Grandma and Grandpa: They are doing well. We are all so busy with the shop, but now they are able to take breaks. One of the techs now closes the shop on Wednesdays and they are able to leave at 6 instead of 7. They also have Fridays off. So they are alot more rested and not working so long of hours. Of course whenever they go back in there is always tons of paperwork. They both enjoy the boys are spending time with them before and after work.

We hope that you are all doing well. We appreciate your prayers and friendship although we are far away. God bless you all.

Grandma Marie's Birthday

Here are the long awaited pictures of my mom's birthday. We had a wonderful day with my mom and the boys were so cute. To be honest, I can't remember what all we did. I think we were at church and having a Pastor Appreciation Day which my mom was head of. Here are some cute pictures and movies of the boys and grandma.

Funny Story

Yesterday after dinner, the boys were playing in the kitchen coloring. The boys cups were on the table and Peter, who was sitting in Paul's chair, went to grab Paul's cup, which was still at his place. Paul usually throw's a big fit when Peter grabs his cup and drinks from it. So preparing myself, I preceded to tell Paul that it was okay that Peter drank out of his cup and that he needs to share with Peter.

Mom: Paul don't have a cow about Peter drinking out of your cup.

Paul: Moooo.

I hope that you enjoyed this. I could not help, but laugh when Paul answered me this way. He was totally fine with Peter drinking out of his cup, this time.
