Christmas Day

Christmas Day- thank you God for sending Your Son to earth in the form of a baby to live among us and die for us. The boys don't know the meaning of Christmas quite yet, but we were able to sleep in in the morning :). We got up and got ready to eat breakfast of crepes and eggs and sausage. Those are Joshua's and Grandma Cathy's favorite. After breakfast, we opened present and had a wonderful time as a family. We laughed and talked while the boys played with all their new toys and some of the other presents. The boys went to bed for a nap and we had a light lunch while we talked some more and scrap-booked. Then it was time to get ready for our big Christmas Dinner. We tried many different things this year for dinner and it was all very good. The boys played in their beds while we adults ate, we had fed the boys before we ate. Then we decided to take Grandma Cathy out to see some Christmas light, especially the lights on that one house that I had posted about earlier. We had a great time, as the boys love to look at lights. When we arrived home it was time to put the kids to bed and we sat around talking and scrap-booking. It was such a nice time and so relaxing. We hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We had a very relaxing Christmas and it was nice having Joshua's mom out to visit. The boys took alittle while to warm up, but they soon did and enjoy the extra attention from Grandma Cathy. My parents had to work half day on Christmas Eve and I helped prepare the meal that we would have that night. We also took Grandma Cathy to the shop so that she could see it. The day was relaxing and I was very tired at the end of the day, being on my feet alot. We also did a Happy Birthday Jesus cake, which Paul loved to look at and try to blow out the candles. We did not do anything, but sit around and rest after we ate dinner. We are so thankful for the time that we were able to spend together.

Cookie Monsters

My sons as cookie monsters. They love cookies, although they don't get them very often. The other night we were eating some cookies that our church family gave us, and Peter climbed up on a chair and looked at what we were doing. He does not really know what a cookie is, but he reached into the container and pulled out two cookies, one for each hand. Peter took a bite and needless to say he liked it. Joshua loves to dunk his cookies in milk and the boys were watching him do it and wanted to try it too. So they were all sitting in the kitchen eating cookies and dunking them in milk.

Merry Christmas

We wanted to wish you all a very blessed Christmas. What a wonderful time of year to be able to celebrate Jesus' birthday and all that He has done for us. I am so looking forward to being able to help the boys understand the true meaning of Christmas and the fun that goes with celebrating the holidays. We hope that you all have safe travels and a special holiday as you spend it with family and friends. May God bless you this Christmas Season.

Christmas Pictures

I dressed the boys up in cute Christmas outfits that I had saved just for the occasion. Since there was a chance of the boys getting dirty, Joshua and I took pictures of them in front of the tree before we left for church. Peter looks alittle sad in some of the pictures because we took away his blanket before taking the pictures, but he soon became happy. I think that they are so cute. Enjoy!
