Grandma Cathy's Visit

We were very surprised to see Grandma Cathy at our door on a Saturday evening. She drove to Colorado with a friend of hers that has a sister who lives here. The boys were very excited to see her and they were able to stay up alittle later and visit with her. She was tired from her trip, so we all went to bed as soon as possible.
The next day we were ready to have some fun. Grandma Cathy did a craft with the boys and decorated gingerbread men. The boys love to do creative things like that. We even were able to open some Christmas presents. Sunday we had our church Christmas programs and Joshua played his violin that morning for both services. Grandma Cathy was so happy to be able to hear Joshua play his violin. That night we celebrated Auntie Mar's birthday with a nice dinner before everyone went back to church that night. We all went to be early that night.

On Monday, Daddy had to go to work for half of the day. We had fun though. We made sugar cookies, which is becoming a tradition, and did another craft with the kids. When Joshua came back home, we all decided to go out to eat at Cracker Barrel to celebrate Grandma Cathy's birthday since she will not be here with us. We had a great time looking in the gift shop and eating. Then I went home with Stella and the rest went to look at Christmas lights and run by the store for breakfast tomorrow. We had a great time.
The next day Grandma Cathy made Daddy his favorite breakfast- biscuits and gravy- Joshua sure did enjoy those. Then after cleaning up the kitchen, we finished opening up the presents and sat around talking. Daddy took everyone- except Stella and Mommy- to the airport to get the boys out alittle. While eating lunch, the boys enjoyed another craft with Grandma before going to bed. Daddy took Grandma to the shop to get a new phone for her friend during the boys nap time.
We even got to open Christmas presents with Grandma Cathy.
Grandma Cathy left the next day because we were going to get some snow and she wanted to get going before the roads were too bad. We were sad to see her go, but we look forward to her next visit.
